Plaintiffs blame Monsanto for the claim on the packaging that Roundup only targets an enzyme found in plants and not in humans. They are seeking a court order to address the false and misleading advertising on all Roundup labels.
Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles, United States

A lawsuit has been filed against Monsanto for false and misleading advertising. Monsanto claims that Roundup, the world's most popular weed killer, works by targeting an enzyme supposedly found only in plants, but not in humans, which is patently false, according to the plaintiffs, who claim that Roundup targets an enzyme found in plants, humans and animals. Therefore, when Monsanto advertises that Roundup targets an enzyme "not found in people," such a claim is objectively false and misleading in and of itself. Plaintiffs seek a court order to expose the false and misleading advertising found on all Roundup labels.
