Compensatory and punitive damages for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of Jaime Alvarez Calderon due to years of use of Roundup. Jury trial.
District Court for the Northern District of California of San Francisco, United States

Plaintiff was diagnosed in 2014 with non-Hodgkin lymphoma after having worked for 33 years using a backpack sprayer to apply Roundup herbicides in wineries. The case is part of the Roundup Products Liability Litigation (MDL) 3:16-md-02741-VC and the settlement offered by Bayer for the thousands of plaintiffs in similar cases. But Jaime Alvarez Calderon passed away on Nov. 12, 2020 before his lawyers agreed to the settlement, on January 13, 2021. The settlement will go to plaintiff's four sons and would close the case.
