Damages of approximately €2.2 billion for Bayer's breach of its obligation to inform investors of the financial risks associated with the acquisition of Monsanto.
High Court of Cologne (Köln), Germany

Investors believe that Bayer violated its obligations related to the law on capital markets in its 2018 acquisition of Monsanto by failing to adequately inform them about the financial risks caused by Monsanto's glyphosate-related legal proceedings. On December 15, 2021, the Cologne court agreed to publish the application to initiate model proceedings in favor of the investment. Since then, TILP law firm has filed claims for damages against Bayer on behalf of approximately 320 investors. The court must now determine whether or not Bayer concealed from the market significant financial risks associated with its Monsanto acquisition.
