< Back to news Newsletter No 13 – October 2023 November 3, 2023 Dear readers, On 13 October, the vote by the Member States of the European Union on the European Commission’s proposal to renew the registration of glyphosate for 10 years failed to produce a qualified majority. A new vote is expected on 16 November. Meanwhile, in the United States, Bayer was condamned three times in October to compensate individuals who developed cancer of the lymphatic system after using glyphosate-based products, Roundup. This parallel should give Member States more reason than ever to reject the European Commission’s proposal. In this newsletter no. 13, you will find a selection of news items published in our legal database in October 2023, on neonicotinoids and chlorpyrifos-methyl in Europe, or atrazine in Brazil… Have a good read!
